Submission Information

Individual proposals (two pages):

  • On the cover sheet, include your name, presentation title, university and disciplinary affiliation, e-mail address, phone number, requests for technology, and the anticipated format of presentation (paper, multimodal, interactive, films, art, performance, etc.).
  • The second page of your proposal should contain an abstract up to 250 words. Please do not include identifying information on the abstract.

Panel proposals (two pages):

  • On the coversheet, include the panel title, each presenter’s name and individual presentation titles, university and disciplinary affiliation, e-mail address, phone number, requests for technology, and anticipated format of presentation (papers, multimodal, interactive, workshop, etc.).
  •  The second page of your proposal should include an abstract up to 250 words for the panel as a whole and abstracts of up to 250-words for each presentation (3 to 4). Please do not include identifying information on the abstracts.

Creative proposals (including short plays, films, installations, musical compositions, or other performance art pieces; either individual or with a panel): Ensure that your abstract specifies the nature of your presentation and the room or space requirements that might be relevant to the presentation of your work.

Individual presentations should not exceed twenty minutes; panel presentations should plan for 80 minutes total (including Q&A time).

Poster proposals (two pages):

  • On the coversheet, include the presenter(s) name(s), poster title, university and disciplinary affiliation, e-mail address, phone number, requests for technology, and indicate that you are submitting a poster presentation. Individuals may present research-in-progress or completed work. Poster sessions will be scheduled for about two hours during which presenter(s) are expected to be available at their poster to discuss their work with other conference attendees.
  • The second page of your proposal should contain an abstract of up to 250 words. Please do not include identifying information on the abstract.

Mindful of the financial pressures we all face, there will be no fee to attend or present at this graduate conference.
